Marianne's Chocolates Introduce

This charming chocolate shop is more than just a place to satisfy a sweet craving; it's a destination for high-quality desserts and a slice of local history. While the original recipes and hand-crafted techniques from founder Marian Fedor are maintained, the current location on Bridge Street serves as a quaint, inviting space that contributes significantly to the unique atmosphere of the harbor district.
The shop is renowned for its selection of exceptional sweets, with a significant highlight being its highly praised fudge. Customers have singled out flavors like the dark chocolate salted caramel and Heath as top-tier choices, confirming the store’s reputation for great dessert. Despite this, the quality of the stand-out items, such as the aforementioned fudge and unique offerings like chocolate-covered orange peel balls, consistently earns high praise from those visiting the area.
The Ashtabula Harbor location is also noted for being a convenient stop, especially for visitors exploring the Bridge Street area. As one customer pointed out, it was appreciated for being one of the few shops open on the strip on a less-busy day, highlighting its commitment to serving the community. This small business offers a quick, enjoyable visit for anyone seeking a sweet treat or a thoughtful gift.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I loved all of the flavors of fudge that I got from here during a trip to the area. The dark chocolate salted caramel and Heath flavors are my top two! Another plus was it being one of the only shops open on the strip on a Tuesday afternoon.
August 05 · makenna VolquardsenFirst time here. It was recommended by a local. It's an interesting place. They don't make the chocolates here. The chocolates are made either by them at their other facility, or made for them by someone else. For example, some of the dipped items were made elsewhere, and the many different truffles. come from California.Personally, I prefer a chocolate shop that makes all their own items on the premises. In additional, they sell other items in this store, including clothing, candles, and jewelry. Maybe they need these others products to bring people in or to make rent. Again, I prefer a chocolate shop to sell/focus on the chocolate. As far as the actual chocolate items, the vast majority that we purchased were just okay. We tried caramels, marshmallow, potato chips, etc. One of the items that did standout was the orange peel balls (and those are made by somebody else). The fudge was also good.Overall, not much for what we typically look for.
May 09 · Scott W1st time purchasing Chocolates at Mariannes. The Dark Chocolate Caramels were the ABSOLUTE VERY BEST I've ever tasted. The Milk Chocolate Turtles and Peanut Butter Fudge were both excellent. Shopped here on the evening of Sept 20th and the 2 young ladies working were very helpful and so kind! We will definitely drive 2 hours to visit Mariannes again!
September 21 · Kristina GramskyA quaint little chocolate store in a quaint little town. Put in on your list of places to visit ialong the lake. They've got something for all chocolate lovers. Definitely a place to go for gifts. Old fashioned feel.
May 14 · James RiekerI'm a local, and I will never understand why everyone loves this place. Chocolate is low quality and just plain doesn't taste good. Go to Erie or Mentor (Stefanelli's, Romolo or Malley's) if you want good quality chocolate.
