★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Jenkinson’s Sweet Shop300 Ocean Ave.Point Pleasant, NJ 08742Candy AppleThis is my first time exploring a dessert apple. I was always curious due to its gleamy, attractive appearance. It was challenging to remove the apple from the wrapper and pieces of the cupcake wrapper got stuck to the apple.I underestimated how hard the outer layer was as I had a difficult time biting into the apple. In my opinion, I feel the tart granny smith apple and candy coating doesn’t blend well together especially since I prefer to have my fruit chilled.I am confident this sweet shop has other appealing dessert choices, but the candy apple is not one of them.#localbusiness #jerseyshore #PointPleasantBeach #pointpleasantnj #jenkinsonsboardwalk #jenkinsonssweetshop #candyapple
August 04 · Jeff T. CriticDo not buy any of their freeze dried candy. It’s all stale and old! All of them are stuck together!! We paid $10 for stale, sticky , gross freeze dried candy, that stick to your teeth when they’re supposed to crunch into sugar….disgusting. Cotton candy tasted like stale air and the ice cream was gross. Thanks for wasting $50
July 30 · Casey BeeGreat candy shop! Delicious candy apples. Great fudge and coffee too! They had a really good selection of sugar-free chocolates too
April 30 · Jason LancasterPopped into this local boardwalk staple after a stroll on the boardwalk. The interior is very quaint and has an old fashioned feel to it which brings you back to your childhood. They have loads of prepackaged sweets lining the walls and on display tables. The glass displays are filled with chocolate, candy apples, fudge and all sorts of decadent treats. The prices are a bit high but it is to be expected as it is a tourist destination. The staff is friendly but can come off as a bit bothered by people and their questions. Not the most personable. We purchased 1 lb. of fudge and received two pieces free which was nice. The fudge selection was vast and we got a little bit of everything. The best was the maple walnut hands down. It was smooth and creamy and the walnuts give it a good crunch. The others are all very good also but get ready for a sugar rush. Overall it’s a great establishment and I would recommend it as a place to try on the boardwalk if your looking for something sweet with a great selection to choose from.
March 06 · G HWho looks for those old fashioned salt water taffy? Who looks for handcrafted chocolate and fudges? This is one of my favorite places in the boardwalk of Point Pleasant Beach.Highly recommended.
