The ice cream, while on par with boardwalk pricing, is a great purchase for a delicious and refreshing dessert. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This place is always a good place to go to when on ths boardwalk for all of your needs to accommodate your sweet tooth. From Saltwater Taffy, Fudge, and also many pastries, up to ice cream varieties and creations, in addition to popcorn and soft pretzels that are offered at an affordable, albeit high price, they will come here to this store. While in the midst of my search for saltwater taffy, I came here in hope for a box of diversities of taffy. I came in here very much impressed by the diversity of products that were offered, as I successfully was able to find saltwater taffy, which was one of the boxes offered throughout the Jenkinson Boardwalk, the price was about $15 and brought with it an ample amount of taffy to bring back home for the price. The Ice Cream, which I had in addition to the purchase of the Taffy, was also a great purchase, as it cost only $7, just for a great cup of ice cream, as this Cookies and Cream Ice Cream I had tasted great for the price tag that they had, similar in quality to other ice cream places on the boardwalk.
July 23 · Jason KellerIt is a pretty premium ice cream place. The Neapolitan waffle and the dirt taco both cost $10 each. Not much of a surprise as it is the boardwalk and there is usually a price premium.I cannot recommend the ice cream tacos or at least the dirt one as it is essentially ice cream in a cone but in a different format. It is no different from ordering an ice cream cone with chocolate ice cream, with cookie crumb and gummy worm toppings. That isn't to say it was horrible, it is just nothing special unless you enjoy the novelty of eating ice cream from a taco shaped cone. The dish itself was delicious but I should have tried something more unique that they serve like their cereal milkshakes or Dole whip to try something that makes it stand out from the competition.I would also recommend not getting their waffles as they are pretty dry, very thirst quenching which surprised me as eating waffles never gets me feeling that way. Soaking it in the ice cream helped work around the dryness of the waffle. I will make sure to avoid having waffles from here next time.Overall the ice cream met my expectations but was nothing special but again I didn't order their more unique offerings so it is not on the business for that. The waffle did not meet my expectations with it's dryness and I would avoid it unless it was a one off. I will make sure to order something more unique next time, such as their cereal milkshakes.
July 10 · Mark PintoWho doesn't love going down to the Point Pleasant Beach boardwalk in the summertime. We try to get down there a couple of times during the week with our family to enjoy the sights and sounds. Brings back lots of memories of growing up at the shore. One of our favorite little spots is the South Beach Sweets. Great for ice cream candy chocolates lots of things that the kids like. Just be careful sometimes the freshness of the candies is to be questioned. But for the most part lots of pretty stuff and lots of sweet treats.
August 09 · Victor Coppola$10 for 1/4 lb of the worst fudge I’ve ever had
