★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1A chocolate lover’s paradise. This place has it all, well stocked ethically sourced bars for all your chocolate needs. I love the design of the place, it gives it a Charlie and the chocolate factory type of vibe. There is seating available for anyone that wants to enjoy their chocolate and hot cocoa too.The staff is friendly and fast with service, Olivia is very knowledgeable about products and helped out a lot in choosing the right type of chocolate for me.I also ordered the Hot Chocolate Cup, which was a sweet, creamy, dessert in a cup. Loved this place and will definitely come back again.
April 28 · Jeremy LoyolaIf you like chocolate, this is a great location to visit. There is so much to see and select whatever you're craving for. Everything is chocolate related. It was a little expensive but worth the quality. The French drink was a little thick, but that's the way it's made. You have to appreciate the taste and quality of the drink. Bought some drinkable chocolate to take home to enjoy a good cup of chocolate drink. I'm definitely coming back for some gifts.
June 02 · Homero GuevaraI was amazed by how many chocolates they have! It was so hard to make up my mind and pick my selections. I ended up buying eight of them. Of course, there was hit and miss. But it was so fun trying different flavors of chocolates not knowing what to expect. My personal favorite is the chrysanthemum one. It’s so authentic, tastes just like the chrysanthemum drink. The yuzu citrus one was surprisingly disappointing. It did not taste anything like Yuzu nor citrus. Don’t buy it. I will definitely go back and get more!
August 15 · Angela ZhangThe name The Chocolate Dispensary might throw you off—it sounds like you’re walking into a boutique edibles shop. You’re not. No THC here, just pure, unadulterated chocolate bliss. Once that’s clear, you’ll see it for what it is: a beautifully curated chocolate shop in the heart of Echo Park with a vibe that’s both upscale and welcoming. The selection is thoughtfully global, with craft chocolate bars and bonbons sourced from some of the best bean-to-bar makers around the world. We’re talking nuanced, single-origin darks, inventive flavor infusions (think black sesame, smoked salt, or wild Amazonian fruit), and limited-batch treasures you won’t find at your corner grocer. If you’re the kind of person who can taste the terroir in your 70% cacao, this is your candy store.—felt compelled to add to this amazing store’s reviewTucked into Echo Park like a secret meant only for true chocolate obsessives, this shop is hands-down one of the most unique, curated dispensaries of rare, fine chocolate I’ve ever visited—anywhere. You walk in and immediately feel like you’ve stepped into a temple of cacao, not a store. What makes it truly exceptional, though, is the human touch. Heather—who was working the day I came in—is an absolute chocolate sommelier. She wasn’t just helpful; she was illuminating. I mentioned having tasted a wild Amazonian milk chocolate at Meteora, and with just that clue, she guided me right to Luisa Abram’s exquisite bar—made with wild cacao and Jersey cow milk. It’s the kind of chocolate that reminds you what chocolate used to taste like before mass production and sugar overload.Heather broke down the sourcing, the terroir, even the fermentation process of the beans like she was walking me through a wine tasting. And she did it all with warmth, zero pretense, and an obvious passion for the craft. This is one of the very few places in LA that stocks bars like this. If you’re used to buying chocolate at the grocery store, come here once and your whole palate will change. Five stars, no question.
July 04 · Paul Mark MorrisThis is a very dangerous chocolate library. You can easily leave the store with too many bars🍫 The owner lady helped me the 2 times I visited the store and she’s chocolate smart. With just a few words describing what I like, she can already narrow down from her huge selection and give me recommendations within seconds. You can tell they put in so much thought and attention to details to their store. Everything is well spaced out but there’s always something that catches your eye with every turn. I also love how they furnish the store, setting the old school tone without being tacky. To be expected, the prices are on the higher end but I think it’s reasonable for the quality delivered. We have enough trendy coffee shops and cafes serving the same menu items so thank you for being different!
