Choosing to visit Dylan's Candy Bar is a decision based on the promise of a unique and memorable experience. While some customers have noted that prices can be a bit high, the value is not just in the product but in the entire visit. The store is designed to be a "wonderland," and for many, that visual and emotional experience is well worth the cost. It’s an ideal spot for a special treat or a fun outing with family and friends, particularly with its wide range of offerings from candy to ice cream and gifts. The sheer variety of candies from around the world, combined with the fun and playful atmosphere, makes it a destination for discovery.
However, it is important for potential visitors to be aware of the mixed reviews regarding customer service. While the store's aesthetics and product range are highly praised, some past experiences have highlighted issues with staff interactions. The feedback from one customer described a "humiliating and stressful situation" regarding sampling and payment. This suggests that while the store's concept is excellent, the in-person experience can vary. For families, in particular, this is an important point to consider. It is worth noting that such issues, while concerning, do not necessarily reflect the experience of every single visitor. The store's management would ideally address these concerns to ensure a consistently positive experience for all patrons.
Ultimately, Dylan's Candy Bar is worth choosing if you prioritize the visual spectacle and extensive selection of treats over a typical, transactional visit. It’s a place to embrace your inner child and get lost in a world of sugar and color. For those who are in the area and have a sweet tooth, it is "definitely worth a stop," as long as you are prepared for a retail experience that focuses more on the theatrical and grand scale of candy, rather than on a traditional, simple transaction.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Dylan’s Candy Bar is like stepping into a colorful, sugar-filled wonderland. So many types of candy – from nostalgic classics to international treats. The displays are super fun, and the store is very Instagram-worthy. Great place to bring kids (or your inner child). Prices are a bit high, but it’s more about the experience. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area and have a sweet tooth!
July 27 · Nicole Y.We visited this candy store at The Grove with our kids, and what was supposed to be a fun, happy experience turned into one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had.The store itself looks nice, with lots of different gummies, candies, and fun things for kids. Naturally, my children were excited looking at all the different options. My 3-year-old tried one candy, didn’t like it, and then picked out something else he wanted. We had already chosen two bags of candy we were ready to buy, and then my son picked a big rainbow lollipop. Everything was fine until one of the employees approached us in a very rude and humiliating way, telling us to “stop sampling” and even saying we should “be ashamed.”First of all, the candies and gummies are openly displayed in a way that makes it seem like you can taste before buying (like many candy shops do). But even if there was a misunderstanding, the way she spoke to us — in front of my kids — was completely unprofessional and unnecessary. We were paying customers, not people trying to take advantage of the store. To make things worse, when I went to pay, I handed her cash and she snapped that they don’t accept “larger bills,” with the same bad attitude. I switched to another note, but at that point the entire experience was already ruined.Candy stores are supposed to be fun, joyful places for families and kids. Instead, this employee turned it into a humiliating and stressful situation. We walked in excited, and walked out disappointed and upset.I hope management sees this and realizes that the way customers (especially families with little kids) are treated makes all the difference. We will not be coming back unless something changes.
August 18 · Ahmad TakiI give this place four stars, they needed to clean sticky floors, but over all candy lovers dream come true . The candy was just right ✅️. They are also affordable not too pricey. Parking validation is only for the farmers market side .
July 29 · DiamondGirlVlogsWe came with our kids expecting a fun candy experience, but instead the store felt dirty, the candy wasn’t very good, and the staff was rude. One employee even embarrassed us in front of our children for no reason. Very disappointing visit — we won’t be back.
August 18 · Ahmad TakiVery, very, very poor customer service. I only gave them one star because I was forced to—otherwise, I wouldn’t even give that much.William (the cashier/customer service rep who dealt with us) treated us very badly. He always rushed us and didn’t let us make our purchase comfortably. When we went to pay, he charged us double the price. For example, two chocolates were supposed to be $4 in total, but he charged us $4 each. If we hadn’t noticed and checked the bill carefully, we would have been overcharged without realizing it.Honestly, I feel sorry for this store. It used to be much better before, but now the service is unacceptable.
