While some businesses may offer online ordering or delivery, Mexico Candy Shop's model is centered on the in-person transaction. What is worth choosing
Choosing a candy store is often a matter of personal preference, and Mexico Candy Shop offers a distinct option for those in California. The store’s primary value proposition is its specialization in Mexican candy. For residents of San Diego and the surrounding areas, finding a dedicated shop for these types of treats can be a significant draw. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This is the worst and most expensive candy store in old town. They are rude and charge so much more than everywhere else. I feel bad for the candy store across the street that people keep reviewing poorly because they think it’s this one. Stay away!
May 03 · Shelby KendrickI was excited to find that much Mexican candy in one place on this side of the border, but $78 later when I had already walked out did my daughter go to open a Crunch Stick and realized the color was off. It was almost white so she checked for an expiration and it had a date of 2018!!!!No refunds though. I was willing to look past the outrageous prices, but come on now 2018 in damn near 2023?!?!?! Save your money and go elsewhere.
September 17 · inkisitiveI love to walk though the store it’s cute and reminds me of when I was young and couldn’t afford candy and I still can’t afford it with their prices. So nostalgic lol idk why people gave them such bad reviews you don’t have to buy it. I purchased from there a few times my experience has always been pleasant. I’m not huge on candy but I grew up in the hood n can reminisce with some of the items they stock.
September 15 · AirLynn SStay away if you can, a push pop candy that would usually cost around $1.50, was marked up to $8.55. Not sure the business model here , but the target market is not in that part of town. You can literally go across the street from this store and they have reasonable prices. This business is not ethical to consumers . Make sure to go across the street if you are looking for Mexican candy with great prices!
May 29 · Blanca PalmaGreat place if you enjoy lighting your money on fire.Cute little store, and I am cool with paying a good markup at cute candy shops, but this place made me feel like I was in the twilight zone with how far off the prices were. They must bank on kids grabbing the candy before the adults realize that they have priced things literally 3-5 times what other stores charge. I didn't realize it was actually possible to price things this far off, so it took a while before I caught on.Single small Tootsie rolls (Tootsie actually calls them 10-cent size) for $1.75. Smarties squeeze candy that sells for $2 elsewhere for $8.75.The prices are offensively high - like they put stadiums and amusement parks to shame. It must work because they are still in business. I'm dumbfounded.
