June 28 · Demar MetcalfeBy the color, by the pound, by the piece, any way you want to buy your candy, Economy Candy has got you covered. Since 1937, this candy store has been serving New Yorkers their favorite candies every day from 11-6pm.I’ve been coming to Economy for the last 15 years. I always find something new to try in the international Haribo and European candy and chocolate collections. They even some salty international and speciality snacks. They have a fresh chocolate case, at the cashier and dried fruits, nuts, and marble or vanilla Halvah in the back. There’s pick and mix, speciality nostalgic and novelty candy, the greatest hits from most major candy-producing countries. If you can’t find something you love, let them know. They will likely order it for you. This is a first-floor store-front. There are no stairs to enter or get around the store. It is a small space and tightly packed from floor to ceiling with all the candy you could imagine. The atmosphere here is fun, bright and joyful. Staff is always been helpful, patient, and informative.
