The services offered at Chip's Candy Factory are straightforward yet comprehensive, focusing on the core experience of in-store shopping.
- In-store shopping: This is the primary way to experience the store. Visitors can walk in and browse the extensive selection of candies, chocolates, and other confections. The visual feast of colors and textures is a key part of the experience, allowing customers to see and choose their treats in person.
- Onsite services: While not explicitly detailed, this suggests that the staff is available to assist customers with their selections, answer questions, and provide guidance. The presence of staff on-site ensures a personalized and helpful shopping experience. However, one review mentions an employee being less than pleasant, which is something to be aware of, though it may not be representative of the overall experience. Most small businesses strive for excellent customer service, and hopefully, this was an isolated incident.
These services are designed to make the shopping process enjoyable and efficient. The emphasis is on a traditional, tactile shopping experience where you can see, smell, and almost taste the candy before you buy it. This contrasts with online shopping, offering a more engaging and sensory-rich interaction. The simple yet effective service model focuses on what the store does best: providing an incredible variety of sweets in a welcoming environment.
Chip's Candy Factory possesses several features and highlights that make it a notable stop for anyone with a sweet tooth.
Diverse Candy Selection: The store is praised for its variety, particularly for carrying specialty and hard-to-find items. One customer review specifically highlights the availability of A&W Rootbeer Jelly Beans, which they had difficulty finding elsewhere locally. This suggests that the store sources unique products that are not commonly found in larger retail chains.
Unique Combinations: The same customer also mentions combining different types of jelly beans (Sizzling Cinnamon and Lime) to create a unique flavor experience, highlighting the potential for creativity and personalization. This shows that the store's selection encourages customers to experiment and find new ways to enjoy their treats.
Specialty Products: Another highlight is the presence of "Cola Bears," which a customer highly recommends, saying they are "well worth it." This points to the store's focus on curating a selection of gourmet and unique items beyond the standard fare.
Accessibility: As mentioned earlier, the store is well-equipped for visitors with mobility challenges, featuring a wheelchair accessible entrance and parking lot. This is a crucial and thoughtful feature that broadens the store's appeal and demonstrates a commitment to serving all members of the community.
Payment Options: The store accepts a wide range of modern payment methods, including credit cards, debit cards, and NFC mobile payments. This convenience makes transactions quick and easy, catering to the preferences of a tech-savvy customer base.
Quick Visit Option: For those on a tight schedule, the store is well-suited for a quick stop. Its layout and location allow for an efficient visit, whether you know exactly what you want or are just popping in for a fast browse.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1My family and I were on vacation and we were exploring the Crown Center area. We were doing some shopping and were excited to see this chocolate shop. Our excitement quickly diminished soon after entering the store. The employee working acted annoyed about having to answer our questions and was not pleasant in any way.
July 26 · Wendy WebbThe only location in which I have found locally that carries A&W Rootbeer Jelly Beans. Combine the Sizzling Cinnamon, and Lime(Both versions), and you have a sweet treat from the past to reminiscent with. Also, pick up some Cola Bears, it's well worth it; I will be back! Parking validation is prevalent within this location, most shops including this one verified if we needed it.
October 15 · TheH1313The candy is very expensive and it was not good. The scotty dog shaped licorice was hard, the beaded raspberry blackberries had a strong perfume taste. The good and plentys were good. A small bag was $15. Might buy a few pieces to taste first.
May 02 · Pam BurkheadReally fun place to go! The chocolate is great quality and freshly made which makes the price go up a little bit, but it’s well worth it. Everything looks delicious and organized! Make sure to ask for a sample of the fudge!
January 26 · Mariana CorreaWe had a wonderful time touring the chocolate factory and my grandchildren loved the candy store. The only problem I had was that my 5 year old granddaughter was excited and she went to grab some Dum Dum suckers out of the bin and the employer working there screamed so loud that it literally scared me to death and I know it scared my granddaughter! She yelled “Don’t use your bare hands!” I literally jumped and it really ticked me off! I understand not using bare hands for things not wrapped but these were wrapped. She was extremely rude and continued to stare us down the whole time. There was no need to scream like that! I’m not sure where customer service has gone anymore. But we did end up spending a pretty good chunk of money and if we go again, I’ll be on the lookout for the crazy lady that works there.
