★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1So disappointing. I have lived here in the neighborhood for over a decade and gone here throughout the years. I have never received service like this. I understand that I entered 10 minutes before closing time but that really is not an excuse for damaging the reputation of a forest hills and queens staple. We were immediately met by a rude employee who told us they were closing, she also promptly let us know they could not make us drinks because they needed to start cleaning the machine. OK, although I have been in the service industry in NYC for 10+ years, I understand it can be frustrating to make drinks at the end of the shift. She again told us that they are closing in a few minutes. We asked about the price of the chocolates with rum and she told us "if you can read, the price is on top".She told us then that we can keep looking but that they were going to lock the door behind us. We asked to pay as quickly as possible. As the door was closing behind us we could feel the grate lowering on the storefront. This coupled with the audacity of the standardized tip menu was an outrage. I hope this woman does not work here long enough to tarnish or cause bad association with this loving small business. I will try to push this out of my mind and focus on good memories when kids trick or treat, go for some sweets after school or Aigner participates in Community Day.
March 14 · Rosemarie AmeliaAbsolutely love this place. Outside of them having an amazing selection of chocolate they also have coffee and ice cream. Their Iced mocha lattes are so delicious I am addicted to them. The staff is wonderful, and the owner is amazing and hands on. They even have a bulk chocolate selection for those of you who like to create your own treats. If you haven’t been here you definitely must try.
July 23 · Jennifer DI had an incredible experience at Aigner Chocolates. From the moment we walked in, the front desk lady warmly greeted us and took the time to explain the history of the store. She even offered us a free sample, which was a pleasant surprise. I’ve never received such exceptional customer service in New York City—it was so genuine and kind that I actually turned to my friend and said, “She must not be from New York!”The chocolates themselves were absolutely amazing—rich, smooth, and clearly made with care. This place is a hidden gem, and I’ll definitely be coming back. It's rare to find both outstanding products and service under one roof. Highly recommend
May 27 · Jaskomal PhagooraIf you're a chocolate lover in Queens, Aigner Chocolates is a must-visit. Nestled in the heart of Forest Hills, this charming shop is a delight from the moment you walk in. Their assorted dark chocolate is rich, smooth, and deeply satisfying—every piece feels like a small celebration. The chocolate box selection is equally impressive, perfect for gifts… or just treating yourself (no judgment). The staff is incredibly friendly, and it's clear they love what they do. Even the manager is out on the floor, welcoming customers and making sure everyone feels right at home. It’s that kind of warm, personal touch that makes this place stand out.Aigner is more than just a chocolate shop—it's a delicious addition to the neighborhood, and one you’ll find yourself returning to again and again.
May 13 · M Ortiz (Epicurean Explorer Rater)This chocolate is extraordinary. There are famous chocolates from all around the world that I do enjoy. However I honestly do find the chocolates made here at Aigner are every bit as delicious and even surpass some of them. My favorite thing has always been chocolates with raspberry and at Aigner their chocolate covered raspberry jellies and creams are exceptional. The chocolate covered macaroons, the Vienna truffles and cherry cordial are also exceptional. Everything is fresh and it's well worth the price. Beautiful shop, very clean and well lit. And last but certainly not least, every time I go there the staff is very professional, friendly and helpful.
