★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We love this store. We visited on a weekday evening. They have candies from all over the country. If you can imagine it, they have it. From I love you lollipops to chocolate covered Twinkies on a stick. We bought candied almonds, a mixed bag of candies and a large stick of bubblegum.
March 27 · Amber ConnellMy daughter and I really enjoyed this shop and had fun perusing the options and reading their history. The young man who welcomed us to the store was very knowledgeable and helpful. We bought a variety of specialty candies for family and especially appreciated the "Family Recipe" treats.Definitely a must when in Harpers Ferry!
August 19 · Allison EllisThis old-time candy store is so much fun. They have different eras of candy in different parts of the store. We bought Turkish delight, pixie sticks, satellite wafers, and red licorice laces. The first picture is my husband putting a thumbtack on the world map. He placed a tack on Morocco to show a Moroccan visitor was in the store. The name of the candy store is called True Treats. Customer service was amazing. In Harpers Ferry.
October 28 · Dorothy FThis is a super cute shop! Apparently, this is the nation’s only historic candy shop. They had treats from all time periods. They have some freshly baked goods, some throwback candy, and some vintage inspired candy. They randomly have books. We love literacy!
October 18 · Lexy McCauleyThis is a must stop location if you are in Harpers Ferry. Located next to the confectionary museum, this shop is like a mini museum on its own, except you can eat these treats! The candy as medicine section was interesting as was the walk through history and the candies popular in each era. The shop researches and uses old recipes to make their wares. I picked up some cassia cinnamon drops that have just the right amount of kick, and I got my favorite…..good old fashioned rock candy. The prices are reasonable, the candies are quality, and the experience is A+. They even have a book section and a toy section.
