★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We went here for dessert for our anniversary and I am so glad we did. We’ve loved every Kilwin’s shop we’ve been too, but this one, while small, carried so much of that old Ann Arbor charm. The inside was the most unique I’ve been too, and the little tables by the window allowed us to sit and watch the street and the rain while we enjoyed our ice cream. It was really lovely. The waffle cones and ice cream was wonderful here. The shop is divided into two, and next door we got some treats to bring home. The snapper probably could have used a touch more salt or roasting, but it was huge and very good. I am so glad we came here and would definitely go again.
January 04 · Madelyn CraigPersonally, I don't think you need to kill anyone just to win. You can win people over with just one caramel apple you know.I am devastated that you are closing down because of soaring ingredient costs and high rent. Americans will definitely pay $35.00 for a caramel apple and $138.00 per pound of fudge. You're probably only paying $32,000.00 per month in rent, but so? That's only $1000.00 "net" per day. It's like you don't even care about wealthy landlords who have expensive Mercedes payments, high maintenance costs of their Aspen mansions and expensive New York penthouses. And what about dentists? They need to remodel their homes, add private outdoor pools for their children and take European holidays twice a year. Now how are they supposed to do all of that when you don't sell sugar that makes your kids teeth rot?You only care about yourself and how "you're" supposed to make a living. Please reconsider and stay open, lose more money, mortgage your house, liquidate your savings and stock portfolio and lose lose lose. Based on volume, you'll more than make than up. Right?
August 18 · Poppy Pepper (PoppyPepper)The lady who makes the fudge, and the one who servers it in front were just as sweet as the chocolaty treats inside the store. We were the first customers of the day. Got a very warm welcome. Got to taste some fudge samples and got the buy-2-get-1 deal on the fudge. Chocolate caramel was heavenly. Kids loved the peanut butter and can't go wrong with plain chocolate.Reasonably priced considering prices of every other food item have skyrocketed in the recent times. Lots of variety. Will stop buy again next time in town. A must-stop after a nice brunch in one of the many restaurants in the area.
April 06 · Doc MoOrdered some ice cream, and tipped. Didn’t not like the ice cream flavor. I mistakenly thought I would because I’ve had it elsewhere and loved it. They refuse to let me switch to another option. So I’ve paid and tipped with no ice cream. Poor customer service to have to repurchase.
June 21 · elisa westI have going to kilwins since 2014. I have taken family friends and my four kids there. This past week we went and I got my kids ice cream. A lady was there that I had never seen before. Eye brow piercing knitted hoody short hair. Older. She was touching money and ice cream with the same hands not washing touching other ends of the sample sticks and using her bare fingers to clean up dripping ice cream from cones. We were in there 20 minutes 15 of which no other customers came in. We ordered and the lady was upset to serve ice cream to our kids and gave them smaller portions than what we ordered. Seemed irritated and was short with our children when handing the ice cream over. She then tried to take my card out of my hands while I was using the tap to pay feature several times to the point my card declined and I got a fraud alert. I asked her to stop touching my card and had to use cash. Five minutes later she is saying that our kids are too loud which they weren’t she began saying we had to take my two year old outside because she said no one was coming in because our kids were hurting her business. She said she was a manager. Fresh customers walked in and she began dragging them into the situation claiming that they won’t want to stay and order ice cream if our kids were in the building. I was shocked. This lady clearly targeted all our kids. And the child that was in there before us. I have been going there since 2014 we will not be going back. That lady is discriminating against our kids and I’m pretty sure she had an issue that I had an autistic child as well who was laughing a lot cuz it was her first time there and she was excited. This lady ruined our experience and it was one of our first outings as a family since getting married. So I wouldn’t recommend this place. It’s not run the way it used to be.
