Grove's Homemade Candy Introduce
In the town of Hershey, Pennsylvania—the very heart of the "Sweetest Place on Earth"—there are many places to find chocolate, but few possess the unique charm and personal touch of Grove's Homemade Candy. This small business, a "tiny house that was converted to a candy shop," has been a local institution for years, standing out not for its size, but for the immense heart and incredible quality found within its walls. It's a place where every visitor feels less like a customer and more like a cherished guest.
The owner, Earl Grove, is the driving force behind this local gem, and his passion for his craft is evident in every detail. As one customer noted, he is an "incredible owner" who is "very pleasant and lovely." He takes the time to greet visitors, speak to children, and share stories about the shop's past, creating an atmosphere that is truly welcoming and personal. This level of dedication is what has made Grove's a beloved part of the community, a place that embodies the spirit of a true small business.
Grove's Homemade Candy is a nostalgic experience, offering a sense of history and warmth that is hard to find in a world of large corporations. It’s a place where you can find delicious, old-fashioned confections and feel a genuine connection to the people who make them. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Incredible owner and shopfront year-round. I had the pleasure to work on a news video with the shopkeeper, and he is incredible. I just learned that the business is retiring, and that’s very well deserved for an owner as great as Earl. Best wishes for all the future holds!
August 03 · Phoenix BrownOne of the nicest experiences I've ever had shopping! First time in after living in the area for years. Took my kids in as well. Tiny house that was converted to a candy shop. Any chocolate covered candy you could think of among other items, gummies, jams, merchandise, etc. The owner greeted us and spoke to my kids and anything and everything! Came to learn about him and some of the shops past. Very pleasant and lovely experience. Oh and by the way, the chocolate is delicious as well!
July 11 · Aaron WertWhat a hidden gem. I stopped here tonight on my way home and I realized now they might have been closed already, but the kind man working there was so welcoming. I got an amazing selection, and tried the chocolate truffles and they are amazing!!! Felt like a littleKid again in this place. We will be back 🤗
February 27 · Jill Mazur RegetsSo sad. This great family owned business will be closing down next month. We came for brittle and bought it and TRIPLE DIPPED malted balls. We are sad to see this book close on this cool, neat family owned business. We wish the owner many happy, safe travels as he embarks on a new chapter in his life. He has a few things to check off on his bucket list. We are sad his kids don't want to continue on their Grandma's candy legacy. We wish him well in his retirement! God bless you sir. See you in heaven!
June 26 · J RGreat little place, both of the owners were very nice and showed us where everything is so we didn't haven't to look everywhere. They even packaged it up in a nice little case from the candy store as well which looked very nice. If you come here do be prepared to spend a little cause everything looks so good and you just can't help but get more than you intended bit thats a good thing I guess, the more the merrier.
