★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The truffles and cream bars were way too sweet - to the point of being unpleasant - and had a very artificial taste. We ended up throwing most of them away. The sales staff were very friendly and provided great service, but unfortunately, the chocolates themselves were disappointing.
August 08 · Eva AltFreese's Peanut Butter Cup: Freese's Candy Shoppe first opened in 1928 by founder Otto Freese. It's located in West Allis, which is just west of Milwaukee, WI. Almost 100 years later they're still going strong using family recipes passed down over three generations. Peanut butter cups are one of my favorite types of chocolate and my Dad was nice enough to save one for me to try after snagging a bag from Freese's at the WI State Fair. Freese's version is about the same size as a standard Reese's Peanut Butter Cup and looks similar too. That's not the case for the inside though. Those familiar with Reese's know their peanut butter filling is more of a gritty solid substance. Freese's version is a smooth, creamy, and almost liquid/semi-solid filling (and I love it!). I wish I could have had more than one, but after eating it I can easily see how my Dad devoured the rest. Doughboy approvedDoughboy_Food_Reviews
August 13 · Travis (Doughboy_Food_Reviews)The perfect stop for a July Saturday evening ice cream stop! Friendly staff, great variety of ice cream and other sweet treats. The roasted nuts were also delicious!
July 26 · Bri HookerHuge selection of candies and ice cream. The scotcheroo ice cream was fantastic! I'll be back!
June 14 · JustReselling Albanese gummies under their own packaging. Bought these for my wife thinking they were made in house, she instantly recognized them. Huge markup as well, about $9 for 8 oz. Note the "A" on the bear.
