★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Candy Kitchen is a great place to go if you or your kids want a sweet treat! As soon as you walk in, you will be met with all the bright colors of different candies and stuffed animals. Though most of the items are a bit overpriced, there are an almost overwhelming amount of things to choose from. The various flavors of fudge will not disappoint you! The many different chocolate covered treats are also a classic choice, with my favorite being the Milk Chocolate Covered Oreos and Graham Crackers which are also very filling. The Salt Water Taffy boxes are also a classic, but are also definitely overpriced far past their worth. Every time I have gone to the store, all the employees have been very kind. The service is always pretty fast even at times when the store is a bit busy.
June 26 · AustanI drive by all the time and decided to stop with grandkids. There was no line organization and customers were getting annoyed with each other. If I didn’t have my grandkids, I would have walked out!
August 26 · Alicia PophamWorth a try …. The choices of chocolate are varied and worth tasting, especially since the location is very wonderful and you can enjoy eating chocolate while walking around
September 17 · Raymond NakhlThis is one of several locations for this company. And when it might not have the historical tradition of Dollie’s, Ibach’s or Snider’s from making saltwater taffy on site or the massive popcorn production of Fisher’s, Candy Kitchen has this huge operation that is easily accessible on route one as opposed to the typical Boardwalk/ Rehoboth Avenue centric locations that are challenging to access from a traffic point of view. The place is certainly not the only one to get sweet stuff but it surely is easy if you don’t want to drive down into the zoo of the tourist area & park. They have a huge selection of most all of the popular things you will be seeking.I’m a “sucker” for the jawbreakers & old fashioned colorful gum balls. One can buy them in any quantity that you wish, and staff handle the merchandise as opposed to locations where the public have access to placing sticky fingers on things…So to be clear, the place serves all my needs but as a classic beach candy place only net side have against it is that it doesn’t have a big old saltwater taffy machine going they don’t have popcorn popping You won’t see the girls out cutting big piles of fudge and things like that. This is what makes up a classic candy store in my mind and it’s something it’s probably more or less dying however, on the other hand, I think their operation is a little more sterile and handled in a factory like location thus things might be a little more clean.
August 08 · Richard WellsThe fudge was good. But my daughter fell walking into the place and got messed up she was bleeding and probably going to leave a scars. Did anyone from corporate call to even speak to us? Nope, not one time. We go there EVERY YEAR. Doubt that will happen again.
